Womxn of Tomorrow

Womxn of Tomorrow

Womxn of Tomorrow works to change the social consciousness around women’s roles in society through art, education, and community.

We do ACTIVISM through art and a term we have coined INNERVISM. * (We’ll get back to that)

As artists turned activists, we believe that art has the power to touch the heart and change the mind. Our ACTIVISM began by literally raising our voices. “We can march but you ain’t heard nothing till you hear us sing.” Our 2017 Double Standards concert at The Town Hall brought stars together to sing duets on jazz standards in the name of women’s rights raising over $100K for various female causes. This led to the Women Of Tomorrow album that addresses the issues women are facing today, and currently has over one million streams on music platforms. The companion podcast on Broadway Podcast Network dives deeper into the history of women’s issues, inviting an expert to discuss how we can move forward. The Women Of Tomorrow album and podcast have been featured in Forbes, Us Weekly, Huffington Post, American Songwriter, People, Parade and more.

We know laughter can bridge any divide. Our web series and social media videos bring a comedic outlook to women’s history and issues.

ACTIVISM begins with access to information. Womxn of Tomorrow might make you laugh but it will also be a reliable source of information regarding your rights as well as current political happenings to keep you informed. Informed activists crush the archaic models of Womanhood and amplify Womxn’s voices.

Now back to INNERVISM. Never heard of INNERVISM before? That’s because we made it up!

INNERVISM is activism from the inside out. How can we demand equality when we don’t believe we are worthy? INNERVISM work will examine the limited belief systems womxn have formed as a result of social inequalities. Our online community will offer classes, workshops and events to give womxn the tools to empower themselves-mind, body and spirit. From this, we will have the collective strength and power to not only BE the change we wish to see, but also enter the fight to change policy for the women of tomorrow.

The Womxn Of Tomorrow Community will activate womxn's ACTIVISM and INNERVISM.

SHEA CARTER

  • The Album, the Podcast, and the Vision for WOMXN OF TOMORROW began with a friendship, evolved into a partnership and grew into a sisterhood. Our beloved project strives to positively affect all people with a message that we are greater together than we are apart. I like to think of myself as a modern Renaissance woman, a singer/ songwriter, voice actor, teacher, and owner of the wellness company Innerspace. Innerspace is a hybrid of modalities, mainly Sound Healing, supported with yoga and meditation practices. I use sound waves to help people de-stress, re-balance, and tune into their full potential.

Healing through sound has become a driving force in my life. I look forward to my next opportunity to both inspire and be inspired.
